| In hosting a workshop, the
LOCATION is of utmost importance. A firewalk requires a large open space
with room for up to 50 people that will be standing and holding hands in
a circle. There can be NO overhanging trees. The ideal surface for a firewalk
is plush and grassy. Participants will be walking barefoot so it is important
to have no stones, burrs, or other foreign material that would detract
from the event. The chosen location must be as flat as possible with
no slopes or ruts. This area should also be private and quiet. If the location
has no visual access from street or other houses and is on private property,
the firewalking seminar can be held without contacting authorities or neighbors.
If, however, the location is visible to others, a burning permit from the
local fire department is advisable. It would also be best to contact neighbors
and tell them about the event so there is no concern.
At least 30 participants are needed to conduct a firewalk. The maximum number of participants is 50. Participants will need to confirm their attendance with payment at least 30 days in advance for the seminar. The host may make arrangements with individuals as long as the minimum of 30 participants is met. If the minimum number of paid participants is not met 15 days prior to the seminar, we reserve the right to cancel. |
